Meet Felicia Onwuemele

Felicia is engaged in the change process and believes in making the best of what life throws at you. Felicia has worked in the helping profession for many decades practicing as a nurse in the continents of Africa, Europe, and North America.

Felicia’s approach to counselling is multicultural, intersectoral, systemic, strength-based and client-centred. She is a Registered Psychotherapist and a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), and the Canadian Association for Couples & Family Therapy(CACFT).

Felicia graduated with a Master of Divinity in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University, Toronto, and holds a Bachelor of Nursing Science Degree from Ryerson University, Toronto. Felicia is a trained facilitator for Prepare/Enrich with Enrich Canada and trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels 1 & 2), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). Felicia uses other modalities such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Narrative Therapy (NT) in her practice.

Counselling with Felicia is honoring, respectful, safe, empathic compassionate, non-judgmental and client-centered.

Felicia is a Christian and will be glad to incorporate Christian counselling into your treatment if this is your desire. However, she works with clients of all faiths and spiritualities.
